ABOUT
Elena Vardon English is a writer and editor with over fifteen years of professional experience. She has worked as an editor of fiction, academic articles and books, as well as closed captions for film and television. Her writing has been published in the Antigonish Review, Qwerty Magazine, the National Post, and Gasoline Magazine. Elena has an Honours BA from the University of Toronto and a Certificate in Creative Writing from the Humber School for Writers. She has been passionately interested in writing and language from an early age.
Elena won second prize in the Sheldon Currie Fiction Prize in 2011. She was shortlisted for Descant’s Winston Collins Prize for Best Canadian Poem in 2009. She won first prize in the College Association for Language and Literacy (CALL)’s poetry contest in 2005.
